Geothermal & Solar Power

Solar Hot Water Solar Heating Geothermal Heat Pumps

Solar hot water systems use the sun's energy to heat water in liquid-based solar collectors; they typically are used along with conventional water heaters. A standard solar hot water system can provide about 50% of the water heating energy needs in a home.

It is a simple fact that daily sunshine provides enough power to sustain our energy needs. Our mission is to capture the energy of the sun to use it more efficiently. Although 54% of all sunlight is lost before it reaches the earth’s surface, the sunlight that does reach the earth is about 200,000 times the total electrical energy generated every day.

Solar Power – Photovoltaic Cells

Electricity produced by solar (photovoltaic, or PV) cells is clean and silent. Because they do not use fuel other than sunshine, PV systems do not release any harmful air or water pollution into the environment, deplete natural resources, or endanger animal or human health.

PV systems are quiet and visually unobtrusive. They produce no air pollution or hazardous waste. They don’t require liquid or gaseous fuel to be transported or combusted.

This energy source is free, clean and highly reliable. PV systems are long-lasting and require little maintenance. The benefits of Photovoltaics far outweigh the initial cost the systems.

Geothermal Heat Pumps

Geothermal heat pumps are similar to ordinary heat pumps, but instead of using heat found in outside air, they rely on the stable, even heat of the earth to provide heating, air conditioning and, in most cases, hot water.

Studies show that approximately 70 percent of the energy used in a geothermal heat pump system is renewable energy from the ground. The earth's constant temperature is what makes geothermal heat pumps one of the most efficient, comfortable, and quiet heating and cooling technologies available today. How much will you save on your energy bill? You can expect to save between 30% and 40%...month after month.
